- Scheduling of participants for research study visits
- Coordinating research study visits
- Assisting in consent process for participants in research studies
- Assisting participants and families to complete research study procedures
- Assist with submission of new research studies for funding or ethics review
- Ongoing interaction with research study sponsors, research ethics board and principal investigators
- Miscellaneous tasks to keep research program running smoothly, including phone calls, data entry, copying or faxing documents
- Experience in clinical research an asset, but not required
- Being bilingual as asset but not required
- Willing to participate in training to develop research skills
- Competency in other languages as asset.

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at the IWK Health Centre includes 4 pediatric rheumatologists, 2 nurses, as well as a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and social worker.
The division is involved in research in childhood rheumatic conditions such as arthritis, dermatomyositis and lupus.Types of research include clinical drug trials, long-term outcome studies, and assessments of varying aspects of how these illnesses affect children and their families.
