Minimum Qualifications:

Postsecondary diploma in Urban Design, Urban Planning or related field
Working knowledge of zoning bylaws, municipal planning processes, planning principles and applicable legislation (including Planning Act, Provincial Policy Statement and 2020 Places to Grow growth plan)
Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential information
Advanced time management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
Strong communication skills, including verbal and written
Demonstrated safe work practices
Valid G driver's license and provision to own vehicle

Assets:

Experience working within a Planning Division in a municipal setting
Experience utilizing City View software or similar electronic planning/ building permit processing software

Duties:

Provides general feedback to planning and development inquiries including designations and zoning provisions
Assists with Real-Estate Agency Inquiries and Compliance Forms/Letters
Other duties as assigned

Annual Salary Range:
$65,101 - $76,167
(Grade - Under Review) 35 hours per week
