2024 Camp Positions

This Job Posting contains the following seasonal student positions:1.
March Break Camp:
Camp Counsellor, Back-up Camp Counsellor, Integration Camp Counsellor,
and Camp Director.

Summer Camp:
Camp Counsellor, Back-up Camp Counsellor, Integration Camp Counsellor,
Camp Director, Specialty Camp Director, and Coordinator, Integration & Volunteers
Applicants for March Break Camp and Summer Camp must meet the following minimum
requirements:
_ _**educational program and must be returning to school in a full-time capacity
September 2024.
The City of Pickering will accept any of the following to verify enrolment in college or university:

- Registrar's letter confirming enrolment and academic eligibility for the next semester.
_ _
_ _ Letter or screen shot indicating that you have more credits left to complete in your current
- secondary education establishment.

Note:
Camp Director and Coordinator, Inclusion, Busing & Volunteers positions do not require to be
returning to full-time attendance at school for the following year.
***- Have attained the age of 16 (by February 1st, 2024 to work at March Break Camp, and by May 1st,
2024 to work at Summer Camp).

- Preference will be given to qualified students who are residents, or whose parents or legal

- Must be available to work the entire duration of the Programs:
- March Break
- March 11th to March 15th

Note:
Only those with current certifications as defined above, or who are registered at the time of
February 1st, 2024 (for March Break Camp) or May 1st, 2024 (for Summer Camp) will be considered
for employment. Confirmation of registration will be required if being considered for an interview.***
Other levels of certification (i.e. emergency first aid, basic first aid, CPR-A, CPR-B) are
unacceptable.

Time:10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Only selected applicants will receive invitations by Monday, January 22, 2024. These invites will
contain further information and a Program Plan template that you'll need for the interview.
Make sure to fill out your Program Plan ahead of time and bring it with you. You'll also have the
chance to pick a time slot that best suits your schedule, and let us know if an accommodation is
required.
