Overview:

Element has an opportunity for a

Metallurgy Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgical, mechanical, failure, corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine mechanical testing (tensile, bend, charpy impact, hardness) including CTOD and metallurgical testing (micro / macro examinations) Involvement in site / field testing
  • Ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 requirements
  • Coordinating with the technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule



  • Effectuer des essais mécaniques de routine (traction, bend, impact charpy, dureté) y compris CTOD et essais métallurgiques (examens micro/macro). Implication dans les essais sur site/terrain.
  • Assurer la conformité des travaux aux exigences ISO 17025 et Nadacp
  • Coordonner avec les techniciens de l'équipe pour effectuer les travaux selon le calendrier de planification

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline
  • 24 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing
  • Good knowledge on international standards and codes
  • Excellent report writing skill
  • Good communication skills
  • Selfmotivated team playing with excellent organisational and communication skills



  • Licence/diplômé en métallurgie ou dans une discipline connexe
  • 2 à 4 ans d'expérience de travail dans un laboratoire dans le domaine des essais de métallurgie et mécanique
  • Bonne connaissance des normes et codes internationaux
  • Excellente aptitude à la rédaction de rapports
  • Bonnes compétences en communication
- Équipe motivée jouant avec d'excellentes compétences organisationnelles et de communication
