We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and excellent attendance practices to join our team.
Ingersoll is seeking an experienced
Lift Truck Driver (Logistics) to join our team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete material handling duties as required by continually supplying the packaging and mix lines as required.
- Scan tote tags and ensure all product is accounted.
- Move finished product totes and finished product cases to freezer storage areas.
- Keep work area clean and organized, retrieve cartons, skids and assist other classifications when necessary.
- Freezer Operations: Ensure proper scanning to correct locations, and conduct cycle counts as directed.
- Shipping and Receiving: Scan all incoming and outgoing items to generate necessary paperwork for each load, including cases, totes, pallets, and other supplies.
- Documentation: Ensure all shipments have proper paperwork attached, inspect trailers before loading, sign in/out drivers, and obtain necessary signatures on paperwork.
- Packaging Support: Stage products for packaging according to procedures.
- Processing Support: Provide relief for breaks and lunch for designated personnel.
- General Support: Assist with various tasks as directed, including digging out products, cycle counting, retrieving sample totes, etc.
- Safety Procedures: Perform daily circle checks on equipment, report unsafe conditions immediately, and perform battery changes as needed.
- Other Job Tasks: Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- One (1) two (2) years of safe lift truck operation in a fast paced environment. Propane and electric forklift is an asset.
- Previous experience with radio frequency scanners and computerized systems.
- Effective communication and decision making skills is required.
- Ability to rotate shifts, work weekends, and work overtime as required.
- Previous food experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
