SummaryResponsibilities:
- Responsible for accounts receivable collection and timely resolution of any disputes with reconciliation of past due balances
- Setup and maintain Customer Accounts
- Review aging and call upon accounts when delinquencies occur. Work with Sales department if needed to timely and efficiently resolve any disputes
- Initiate collection calls to customers, research and resolve past due/billing issues on complex accounts that have resulted in delinquent payment
- Negotiate payment schedules and resolve collection issues
- Post incoming payments, cheques, EFT, wire transfers and reconcile payments to customer accounts in AR
- Customer Account reconciliations
- Provide weekly updates on outstanding balances and client related issues
- Bank deposits, bank reconciliation
- Systematic filing of documents
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- 5 years of progressive work experience in collections
- Academic background in the Accounting or Business Administration field
- Strong knowledge in basic accounting principles
- Customer Service oriented
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Detailoriented
