Reporting to the Associate/Campus Director, the
Student Academic Advisor would be responsible for providing support and knowledge to students about their current program of study and be the front line for communication with students.


Job duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Providing academic assistance and support to individual or groups of international students
  • Informing and reminding students of college policies, rules and classroom announcements via direct, inperson interactions and by using various communication channels; updating administrative activities related to same
  • Data entry and analysis during registration period
  • Assisting with tuition collection
  • Facilitating the success rates of students' academic learning
  • Facilitating college surveys and supporting campus events, i.e. career fairs
  • Monitoring classroom attendance
  • Assisting with classroom observation and invigilation
  • Creating academic success plans with students to support their study habits and improve success rate
  • Monitoring any students who are adding/dropping courses or withdrawing from the program
  • Documenting and assessing any student/instructor issues within the college
  • Supporting outreach and communication channels with Alumni

Qualifications:


  • Experience of working with international students is an asset
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to resolve a conflict
  • Flexibility to transfer / travel between campus locations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position is expected to work on-site at one of College's campuses; _
this is NOT a remote job. _
