Early Childhood Educator


The Central Saskatchewan Military Family Resource (CSMFRC) Centre Child Care Centre, located on Canadian Forces Detachment Dundurn, has exciting employment opportunities for motivated, creative, and caring individuals that will compliment our professional team.

We are a facility where children can explore, manipulate, laugh, grow, and learn in a safe and enriching environment.


Tasks include (but not limited to):
Support and implement child-care programs, promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts. Set snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. Provide written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors. Discuss progress and challenges of children at staff meetings.


Employee benefits:

Starting wages are in accordance with an established pay grid and qualifications.

All certified ECE's are also eligible to receive an additional $3/hr to $5/hr top up to starting wages through the current government wage enhancement grant.

Educators will also be entitled to receive tuition reimbursement and paid study time for courses relating to Early Childhood Education.

Full benefits after three-month probation period, fully paid by employer.


Credential Requirements
Experience working with children an asset.

Clear Criminal record check

Current First Aide and CPR Certificate


Professional Qualifications
Personal suitability, dependability, flexibility, reliability, collaborator.

Pose effective communication skills; both verbally and written.

Work in a team setting.

Assist in housekeeping duties.

Conduct programs for an inclusive childcare centre.

Knowledge of licensing regulations.

Willingness to continue training thru workshops, classes etc.

The CSMFRC Childcare Centre is looking to fill these positions immediately.


Salary:
$14.29-$18.90 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dundurn, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (preferred)
