Description

The Detail Technician is responsible for final clean-up and quality of the vehicle.

He/She must be meticulous, thorough, polite, courteous, have positive attitude, foster a positive team spirit, and be able to read and understand every aspect of the repair order.

Thoroughness and quality of the detailing job is paramount.

Duties and Responsabilities

Pre-Wash Vehicles_
If any keys are present on the Pre-Wash board, remove the keys on top, locate the vehicle and move the vehicle to the wash bay
If needed, cover and seal windows with plastic crash wrap and tape
Quickly wash the vehicle using soap and water in order to remove the majority of dirt and dust and use a clean silicon water blade to rapidly remove excess water from the vehicle
Move the vehicle to the Ready For Mapping area, notify the assigned Repair Planner the vehicle is ready for photos and mapping, and transfer they keys to the assigned Repair Planner
Other Duties and Responsabilities_
Order,stock and maintain necessary detailing products
Complete assigned work in a timely manner using proper repair methods
Carefully inspect freshly painted surfaces to complete require buffing
Upon receiving vehicle from Paint Department, ensuring that all tape, masking supplies, paper or other materials are removed
Removal of any and all overspray
Read and understand repair order to insure that all repairs listed are complete
Immediately notify Production Manager of all hidden, missed damage, discrepancies that do not appear on the work order, hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, etc.
Clean interior and exterior of vehicle
Maintain safe and clean work area
Polish and buff new and old paint as requested
Moving appropriate vehicles in at night for security purposes
