Description

Canadian Crane is looking for a Helper to join our team in our fabrication plant.

Anticipated Start Date:
As soon as possible

Location:
Barrie, Ontario

Education:
Completion of High School/vocational or technical training

Major Work Area:
Heavy steel & machinery fabrication & welding & fitting.

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience:
Manufacturing

Industrial Area of Specialization:

Custom fabrication, manufacturing machinery and equipment, structural steel manufacturing, measurements, metric and imperial, familiarity with all machines and hand tools in a factory setting.

Weight Handling:
Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Job requirements:
General plant maintenance including but not limited to, general labour, buffing, grinding, sweeping, cleaning, painting, etc. Willing to learn or have interest and drive to weld.

Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination and standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment:
Indoor/ Outdoors, sometimes at heights

Transportation/Travel Information:
Own transportation, valid driver's licence

Essential Skills:

Reading text, numeracy, writing, communication, working with others, problem solving, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning.
