As Corporate Counsel you will be responsible for providing support to Dash Hudson on a variety of legal matters including contracts, and legal/regulatory compliance; as well as working collaboratively with employees and stakeholders on Dash Hudson's legal needs.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Work directly with customers on executing corporate contracts, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), data processing agreements (DPAs), service level agreements (SLAs), and master service agreements (MSAs).

Advise internal teams on a broad spectrum of legal and business issues including contractual commitments, industry-specific compliance obligations, international data protection requirements, intellectual property rights, and employment matters.

Help implement changes to contracts to comply with legislation, regulations, and other changes as required.
Provide pragmatic, business advice to members of the Dash Hudson executive team.
Work with departments such as People Operations, Finance, and Security, to ensure legal compliance.
Manage Dash Hudson trademarks and patents with relevant stakeholders.
What you'll need

Qualifications:

Desired Skills and Experience

You can draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, DPAs, SLAs, MSAs, and procurement contracts.

You have knowledge of data privacy laws, practices, and insurance coverage standards within the SaaS industry.
You are an effective and confident negotiator.
You have strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams across the business.
You are a self-starter that can create and lead legal projects to completion.
You have relevant in-house or firm experience providing legal support to a SaaS company.
You've been called to the bar in a Canadian jurisdiction.
Experience with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other privacy regulations is considered an asset.
