Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to hydrogeological studies for environmental assessments or impact assessments for various clients that include the determination of regional and local hydrogeological setting and baseline groundwater quality.
  • Conduct groundwater mapping and water source assessments.
  • Plan groundwater exploration programs and groundwater supply investigations.
  • Contribute to pumping test programs and conduct analysis and interpretation of the resulting data.
  • Contribute to operational groundwater monitoring programs.
  • Compile and interpret field data, interpret laboratory results and prepare technical reports.
  • Support complex groundwater assessment and remediation projects and sitespecific risk assessments as required.
  • Execute all aspects of projects in accordance with the client contract and ensure the quality of processes and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain direct contact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you Bring:


  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience as a Physical Hydrogeologist, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • A bachelor level degree in sciences with a relevant focus in geology, hydrogeology, or equivalent.
  • Relevant hydrogeological field experience with installation of water source wells, groundwater monitoring wells, and collection of water level and chemistry data.
  • Experience with conducting contaminated sites investigations for soil and groundwater.
  • Familiarity with jurisdictional guidelines as applicable (BC CSR, AB Tier 1 and 2, SK env standards).
  • Membership, or eligibility for membership, with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent safety attitude.
  • Works effectively both independently and in a team setting.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license.
