Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing

  • CIBC Digital's UX Translation Team is working to continually ensure CIBC's digital client experiences meet our clients' needs. As a UX translation Coop, you will be helping to build our translation assets including lifting translations that live in the user stories and import them into memoQ.

Important Information

  • You must be currently enrolled in postsecondary education to be eligible, however, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role
  • Work Location: Further clarity on the work location will be provided at the time of your interview. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Coop positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
  • Duration of term: Fall 2023 term(September
  • December). 4 and 8 month opportunities are available
  • How You'll Succeed


  • User Translator

  • You'll feed memoQ termbases, determine what needs to be sent to the vendor or sent to another translator when there's overflow work, coordinate overflow work that can't be handled in house with the vendor, clean up translation termbases and memories of duplicates and inaccurate entries, work with Leads to agree on specific project terminology, pretranslate when we need to use the vendor, and support the leads.
  • Administration and Team work
  • You'll help maintain project status dashboards and maintain a repository of research to help build a body of knowledge that contributes to a usercentered design process.
