What you'll do


The Vice President, Digital Technology is accountable for the technology strategy, architecture, development and operations of our digital and eCommerce properties and experiences across all banners within Canadian Tire Corporation.

To achieve our goal of being the number 1 retailer in Canada means a world class customer experience, on technology platforms that are scalable, secure, flexible and resilient.


At Canadian Tire we work flexibly, embracing 'Hybrid' whereby individuals utilize a combination of working at a CTC campus and or virtually in service of outcomes.

Determined by managers, decisions around work location will be made based on business and team needs and grounded in a desire to support individual well-being and personal needs.

This role presents a significant intellectual, technical, operational and organizational challenge.

You will collaborate with Business Leaders, Product Owners and other Technology Teams within the Enterprise and external organizations, to shape these products and to deliver the associated services, infrastructure and tools to enable the growth of our digital ecosystem and ecommerce businesses.

This position will report to the SVP, Product Engineering and be a member of the Senior IT Leadership team where they will be a key contributor to the overall strategy of the organization.


  • Partner with key executives, sponsors and product owners as a trusted technology advisor with a focus on achieving business outcomes
  • Oversee the implementation and operations of nextgeneration digital and eCommerce platforms to enable future customer experiences.
  • Champion the continuous improvement, driving velocity, innovation and scale, of our digital properties and desired customer experience
  • Accountable for managing our outsourced development and support partners across onshore and offshore teams, as well as collaborating with various internal Enterprise IT teams
  • Dive deep into the details on business, operations and engineering and have a thorough knowledge of what it takes to develop scalable, extensible technology.
  • Lead and inspire a talented team of digital technologists, promoting agile practices and structures.
