With Prodigy, kids practice standards-aligned skills in Math and English as they play our fun, adaptive learning games.We are looking for a Game Data Scientist to join our game team, someone eager to apply their expertise in data modelling to generate insights and improve business decisions throughout the player journey.
This role will play a crucial role in enabling stakeholders to gain vital insights into game performance, user engagement, and learning outcomes.
Help our game teams explore, analyze, and understand user activity through collaboration on diverse datasets, spanning from development to transformation and visualizationDevelop refined data models to predict and analyze user behaviours and learning outcomes, directly influencing the development of our Math and English games
Explore data and communicate findings to product and leadership teams, aiding in shaping the company and product roadmaps
Build a deep understanding of feature performance within the game, leveraging statistical and machine learning (ML) techniques to assist product owners in enhancing our game
Conduct A/B testing and other experimental designs to create and validate hypotheses, measuring the impact of new game features
Continuously learn and apply new analytical techniques and tools relevant to data science in the gaming industry
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
You have 1-4 years of experience in data analysis or a related field, with a focus on data modelling
You have a passion for games or product gamification
You are proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in other statistical analysis tools
Your strong communication skills allow for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the presentation of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in game analytics, particularly in the free-to-play space
