Position::Accounting Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)


No of Weeks: 35 hours per week

Position Summary:


Responsible for Assisting with the administrative activities of the Accounting Department, which provides customer services to tenants living on SPLC buildings and clients from the local communities who uses our services and programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Assists with Accounting Department with filing, matching invoices, coding invoices, processing invoices, reconcile accounts

Education:


  • Pursing or Completed education in B Commerce, Accounting, or Finance

Qualifications:


  • Previous Accounting experience an asset
  • Highly detailoriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organization skills and accurate filing and record keeping
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Highly actionoriented and resultsoriented
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team

Requirements:


To be eligible, applicants must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that International students are not eligible to apply.

  • Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
