The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) and Region of Waterloo (ROW), the "Organizations", are embarking on a partnership to implement a shared Human Experience Management (HXM) solution.

As the Organizations endeavor to deliver the best service possible to their communities, this new HXM solution will provide enhanced strategic value by introducing modern business practices, replacing outdated systems, and enabling a world-class user experience.


The Organizations have partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for implementation and the contracted solution is the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite (cloud-based).

Technical Integration Support Specialist to support the HXM Project

As the
Technical Integration Support Specialist

You Will:


  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, document and maintain information plans for multiple systems;
  • Build interfaces between existing and new systems to be used both internally and externally;
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of the integration of the HRIS solution into the organization's existing technical environment with the Information Technology Branch;
  • Ensure all functions of the HRIS solution effectively work with all other systems;
  • Develop test plans and strategies, create and execute use cases for integrations. Present plans and strategies to the project team and stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with existing legacy system experts (i.e., the Region, Information Technology Branch);
  • Support system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  • Review and recommend integration methods to the project team and Supervisor;
  • Work with the Vendor team and other project team members to implement various tools to manage integration requirements;
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, project team members, and the Information Technology Branch to understand how data is used within particular systems. Work closely with the Functional Implementation Work Stream and the Functional Subject Matter Experts;
  • Provide technical guidance and support to members, to project team members and the Information Technology Branch; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

You Have:


  • Successful completion of a three (3) year community college program in Computer Systems Technology, Computer Programming and Analysis, Computer Science, or related field;
  • Previous experience with systems analysis, design, data mapping, data transformation, data quality and cleansing, using ETL tools, such as SSIS, FME, etc.;
  • Three (3) years of experience in developing multiple system integration plans;
  • Previous experience working with Oracle database and SQL Server in order to manage the complex integration of multiple systems. Previous experience using Visual Studio Suite is considered an asset;
  • Experience working with a variety of data platforms to retrieve, combine, interact with, explore and visualize data is required;
  • Previous experience working with Human Resource Information systems, payroll, time and attendance tracking systems, or other related systems is required. Previous experience working with data in a Human experience Management (HXM) environment is preferred;
  • Previous experience working in municipal or public sector workplaces, with union and nonunion team members is preferred;
  • Comprehension, focus and attention to detail are required to capture detail when integrating information into systems or analyzing information from multiple sources;
  • Analytical skills and problemsolving skills when working with the integration of systems;
  • Demonstrated professionalism and conflict resolutions skills required to interact with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Presentation skills in order to demonstrate integration strategies and plans; and
  • A valid Class "G" Driver's License with no more than six (6) demerit points required to travel within and outside the Region;
