Location - Hybrid work model. Must be willing to work in our Toronto office up to 2 days per week.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for maintaining recordkeepings for all monthend close activities and journal entries.
Work closely with the accounting and FP&A teams, to ensure bills are recorded in GL codes/class.
Analyze and reconcile accounts payable and cost transactions, including providing support to the wider team with monthend accruals postings, for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting.
Work with outside auditing firm during annual audit.
Ensure payment processing in done on time and AP is up to date, including being one of the approvers of payments in the business, and ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner.
Work closely with cost owners, to ensure invoicing and billing is kept relevant, and suppliers account delays are actioned
Manage the AP analysts and review their work performed.
Maintain the authorisation's matrix for Quark, including quarterly reporting to Travelopia.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, including Travelopia treasury, and banking partners, being the point of contact for APrelated items.
Review and refine the AP process, towards more automation and efficiencies, controls and checks, process documentation and audit trails, moving to fewer (weekly, or less) payment runs, and pointintime reporting.
Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.

What we are looking for:

5+ years of related work experience.
Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience.
Experience working in QuickBooks (and SAP preferred).
Track record of working in cross functional organizations and managing a team.
Ability to perform comfortably in a fastpaced work environment.
Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
Excellent analytical skills; focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to streamline and sophisticated processes.
