Location - Hybrid work model. Must be willing to work in our Toronto office up to 2 days per week.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for maintaining recordkeepings for all monthend close activities and journal entries.
- Work closely with the accounting and FP&A teams, to ensure bills are recorded in GL codes/class.
- Analyze and reconcile accounts payable and cost transactions, including providing support to the wider team with monthend accruals postings, for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting.
- Work with outside auditing firm during annual audit.
- Ensure payment processing in done on time and AP is up to date, including being one of the approvers of payments in the business, and ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner.
- Work closely with cost owners, to ensure invoicing and billing is kept relevant, and suppliers account delays are actioned
- Manage the AP analysts and review their work performed.
- Maintain the authorisation's matrix for Quark, including quarterly reporting to Travelopia.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including Travelopia treasury, and banking partners, being the point of contact for APrelated items.
- Review and refine the AP process, towards more automation and efficiencies, controls and checks, process documentation and audit trails, moving to fewer (weekly, or less) payment runs, and pointintime reporting.
- Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in QuickBooks (and SAP preferred).
- Track record of working in cross functional organizations and managing a team.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fastpaced work environment.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
- Excellent analytical skills; focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to streamline and sophisticated processes.
