As a Project Manager, we'll look to you to perform critical technology business management functions in support of our growing business as you join and partner with some of the most dynamic, strategic, and talented professionals working in IT today.


This key role will see you owning and managing all aspects of a product or service offering for a client, from inception to installation.

Leveraging strong relationships with Sales, Consultants, and other members of cross-functional teams, you'll act as a point-person and project advocate to ensure successful project completion and results.

Typical projects will be of low and medium complexity and risk, incorporating mainstream, legacy and select emerging technologies.


What you'll do:


  • Be accountable for project profitability while monitoring, interpreting, and communicating project budget
  • Ensure that time, expenses, and invoices are accurately tracked and approved against the project in a timely manner
  • Ensure all items defined in CDW Statement of Work are delivered and perform quality assurance throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Identify and successfully mitigate project risks
  • Establish, monitor, adjust and communicate tasks and associated schedule to the project team, remediating when necessary
  • Take responsibility for project results and be fiscally responsible to the client, the project and to CDW
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices through research, conferences, training seminars and participation in professional associations
  • Identify the appropriate documentation (communication plans, schedules/timelines, status reports, quality plan, closure summary, budget, risk plan, etc.) for projects
  • Manage the quality and delivery of documentation to clients
  • Communicate all aspects of projects to the appropriate stakeholders utilizing communication plan template(s)

What you need to succeed:


Must-have:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in delivery quality Infrastructure Project Management OR 3 years of CDW Services experience
  • 2+ years of experience in leading significant projects within a single Advanced Technology solution area
  • Working knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies and proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project/Office
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
  • The ability to travel an average of 25%
