What you'll do


Our tech team plays a critical role in our evolution as we transition to an omnichannel retailer where digital complements the physical.

  • Work with multiple acceptance test driven development (ATDD) teams to coordinate with PO's, business analysts, and developers to help identify areas of improvement in architecture and technical designs.
  • Collaborate team of developers for activities involved in the development of services and help with architecture design decisions.
  • Coordinate with tech leads and other architects to identify the platform impact of changes and mitigate any risks.
  • Create, describe and deliver functional stories for developers to develop features.
  • Work with developers to help resolve any technical challenges that have a wideranging impact.
  • Assist delivery teams to resolve problems and provide decision support to deliver a solution.

What you bring

  • 6+ years experience in IT/Software Engineering in an enterprise setting including 2+ years working as a tech lead in an enterprise setting, preferably in Microservices Development.
  • Proficient understanding of Java/Spring/Node JS, git, and standard agile practices.
  • Experience in API development.
  • Asynchronous request handling (e.g. Promises, Asyncio)
  • Solid understanding of standard software engineering best practices: testing, QA/QC, etc.
  • Experience working across teams with a focus on conducting code reviews and participating in peer programming sessions.
  • Experience reviewing and creating systems designs and providing feedback on design improvements.
  • Experience in an ecommerce domain.
  • Experience working in Azure cloud & cloud native technologies: Kubernetes clusters, sidecar pattern, dev portals and other cloud technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in Microservices Architecture.
