Mortgage Fulfillment Officer

We are looking for a hard-working Mortgage Fulfillment Officer

to join our dynamic team in the Toronto office to support the funding of British Columbia mortgages.
The
Mortgage Fulfillment Officer is responsible for maintaining and updating mortgage files from the

commitment signed stage to when the loan is funded. You will work closely with the British Columbia

complete, conditions are fulfilled, and meet targets while adhering to service standards and providing

outstanding personalized service. You will work in a fun, fast-paced professional environment

where being detail-oriented with solid time management skills is critical.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting British Columbia hours 11:00 am EST to 7:00 pm EST
  • Ensure mortgage files are complete and organized
  • Verifying/validating all required mortgage/client information for accuracy
  • Review documentation for compliance with filespecific conditions and company policies and following up with mortgage brokers for outstanding conditions.
  • Instruct lawyers and review legal documentation to ensure loan documentation is following Vault's credit and underwriting regulations.
  • Follow up with Vault Lawyer to obtain confirmation closing conditions are met and the mortgage closed
  • Identify escalation items and work with the Underwriter or Manager to resolve them.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Underwriters, Business Development and Lawyers to ensure smooth and efficient closing of your files.
  • Maintaining knowledge of applicable mortgage underwriting policies, procedures, and products
  • Providing timely and accurate responses to Mortgage Brokers and partners
  • A commitment to providing outstanding personalized service

  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Personable and professional
  • Successfully adapts to changing situations
  • Energetic works independently within the team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Previous financial service experience/ Real Estate Law is an asset
