We are searching for someone to join our team in Edmonton as our next Human Resources Business Partner.

This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring our People and Culture programs align with BGE's values, strategic goals, and core purpose.

The day-to-day activities of our Human Resources Business Partner will include:

  • HR Consultation and Coaching
  • Provide coaching and expertise to leadership and employees on HR-related matters. Give guidance on policies while considering relevant employment legislation and industry trends.
  • Administration of HR Programs
  • Document, update, and communicate HR programs while continually working to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Support the execution of employee lifecycle decisions including recruitment, restructuring, development, progression, and terminations.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention
  • Lead fullcycle recruitment efforts while engaging the employee base with retention initiatives including benefits, compensation analysis, and recognition programs.
  • HR Data and Analytics
  • Work collaboratively with the payroll team and utilize Dayforce HCM to provide people and data information for business decisions.
  • 5+ years of professional human resources experience in generalist roles, including an emphasis on recruitment.
  • Formal education in HR is beneficial, however we will look for those who are able to demonstrate the required knowledge and experience in HR principles, best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with using Dayforce is an asset.
