IMMEDIATE opportunity for a
Confined Space Rescue Technician to join our Windsor, ON station.


Type of Work:
Casual - Industrial


Length of Employment: 4 ? 6 months


Hours of Work/Shift:
Days 8 ? 12 hours/day


Within the Confined Space Rescue Technician position, you will provide a variety of confined space rescue procedures, within our clients site.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate rescue in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Inspect, inventory, and document (on HSE rescue equipment inspections logs) high angle/confined space rescue equipment (according to manufacturer?s instructions) to ensure all equipment is ready to use. This inspection is to be conducted prior to leaving the station, upon arrival at location, daily (start of each shift) and once the equipment is returned to the station.
  • Ensure all gas detection and breathing apparatus equipment is inspected prior to use and passes a function test.
  • Perform risk assessments, preparing rescue equipment, and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe work practices.
  • Create rescue plans for Confined Space Rescue.
  • Ability to problem solve and utilize interpersonal skills while always maintaining a level of professionalism.
  • Other duties will be assigned as necessary

Required Experience/Training:


Current Certificates:


  • Confined Space Entry & Attendant Training
  • Confined Space Rescue Training
  • Respiratory Protection Training
  • Working at heights Training
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Training
  • Worker and Supervisor awareness 4 & 5 steps Training
  • Previous experience working in a Confined Space Rescue capacity
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good vision / hearing
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver's License (Please note, a valid license does not include a Learner's Permit or Graduated License)
  • A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months

Physically capable of performing the following tasks:

  • Working at heights and / or climbing ladders or stairs
  • Working in small / confined spaces
  • Lifting equipment to 50lbs
  • Pushing / pulling (tools / objects)
  • Sitting / driving
  • Bending / kneeling / crouching
  • Standing / walking for long periods of time
  • Working in adverse weather environments
  • Employee must ensure that they are fit for duty
  • Additional training and certifications may be necessary to meet client specifications.
