Batch Plant Operator for our facility located in Waterdown.
This position will be based primarily out of Waterdown however, will be required to float between each of our other local facilities, Brantford, Ayr, Kitchener and Guelph, as the business requires.
What you'll get to do
- Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load into ready mix trucks.
- Work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery.
- Take responsibility for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to ensure proper crediting to customer.
- Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials, and notify appropriate suppliers of production needs.
- Ensure the compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of facilities and complete maintenance checklist.
- Operate a front end loader as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment (loader)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role which often includes repetitive motion and heavy lifting
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Aggregates plant experience
- 2 or more years of batch plant experience
- Maintenance experience
Work Environment
- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
