Environmental Technician to join our team.

Monitoring and collection of groundwater and surface water samples utilizing a wide variety of equipment
Participate in waste reduction and diversion projects including waste audits
Collects and interprets data
Completion of field documentation such as project field reports, field notes, and laboratory chainofcustody forms
Management of maintenance and tracking of essential equipment, materials and supplies
Carries out tasks as assigned and seeks/receives technical guidance as required.
Complete site visits and inspections and maintain supporting documentation such as project field reports and field notes.
Carries out varied tasks requiring general knowledge of the broad field of environmental sciences, sustainability and the circular economy.
Provides regular project updates and refers any complex or unusual matters to the project coordinator or manager.
Assist with report writing and ensure work is completed with accuracy and precision.
Commit to implementing health and safety procedures and practices.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position, as may be appropriate.
Travel and shiftwork may be required in all seasons and weather conditions.

Job Requirements:

College diploma in a related field
Good organizational, communication, research, and technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several assignments at one time
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Understanding and/or proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience working outdoors and willingness to work in all seasons and weather conditions
Valid G Driver's License
