Position Summary:


Reporting to the Regional Security Manager, The Security Officer/ Dual Rate Supervisor moves between both the Officer role and Supervisor role to ensure adequate protection is provided for the safety of our patrons and team members.

Security Officers will protect all guests and team members against theft, fraud, vandalism, and abuse while delivering the highest level of service and respect to patrons and colleagues.

While in the Security Supervisor role you will supervise, coach and develop a team of Security Officers in a shift work environment, be the emergency response lead, and ensure the overall safety and security of patrons and employees.

At all times, you must be aware of the gaming operations and you will work under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.

**Key Accountabilities: - Supervising and delegating Security Officers daily tasks, duties and maintain awareness of all gaming operations

  • Responding to, resolving, or escalating security issues
  • You will be responsible for the protection of company assets and the reporting and arrest of criminals, ensuring the maintenance of peace and order for guests and fellow employees.
  • You will provide first aid and medical attention as required.
  • Your strong presence on the gaming floor will be vital to your management of people and interacting with customers, while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws, policies and regulations.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective, and serviceoriented communication.
  • Completion of a postsecondary diploma in Law and Security.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Ability to successfully obtain Smart Serve certification.
  • Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviours /transactions and make sound judgments based on this.
  • A current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Non-Violent Intervention Technique Certification is considered an asset.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Valid Driver's License for mobile patrol

Work Environment Considerations:


  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, nontraditional work hours
