Shipper/receiver - Olds, Canada - Sundial Growers
Description
Overview:
Reporting to the Team Lead, Shipping & Receiving, the Warehouse Shipper/Receiver will lead the preparation of goods and materials required to be shipped from Sundial's facility in Olds, AB.

Vendors, External Delivery, Retail Customers, Provincial Distributors
Scope of Role:
- Receive incoming shipments and ensure that all shipments match the Purchase Order and are free from damages
- Manage outgoing deliveries
- Assist with any intercompany shipments, as well as thirdparty shipments
- Prepare all goods (raw materials, warehouse transfers, and finished goods) and paperwork as needed to facilitate efficient and effective shipping
- Liaise with couriers and carriers to arrange for timely pick up of orders as per established processes and procedures
- Manage the storage of items once they are received
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Distribute supplies on demand, and ensure that all stocking points are full
- Ensure compliance and all necessary records are delivered to Quality Assurance (QA)
- Assist with inventory count and preparing supply orders
- Assist sanitation team as needed to ensure warehouse facility cleanliness is maintained
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a shipping/receiving role
- Previous experience operating a pallet jack and/or a power pallet jack
- Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Lifting or moving up to 80 lbs

- Comfortable to follow best practices and keep all required documentation up to date
Physical Requirements:
- Physical aptitude necessary to perform tasks required for an 8hour shift period, including but not limited to: standing, walking, bending/reaching (repetitive), pushing/pulling (up to 300 lbs), lifting (up to 50 lbs) and squatting
- Ability to work for an 8hour shift period wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to steel toed boots and face masks
- Ability to regularly work with cleaning products including, but not limited to, Sanidate, Shyield, Benefect, Simple Green and Isopropyl Alcohol
