Toronto, ON Salary: $20 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and accuracy in food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks, such as boiling pasta, grilling vegetables, or baking items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in the receiving and inventory management of kitchen supplies.
- Support the team in various tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Requirements:
- One year of experience is necessary; this position is entrylevel.
- A passion for food and a strong desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate issued by a recognized training program.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Ensure that food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
- Follow health and safety guidelines.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON M5V 3P1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (required)
