Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Provide amazing hospitality to crew and guests as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System.
  • Receive all Food and Beverage items, ensuring that the products received match the corresponding invoice.
  • Ensure the proper handling of invoices and documents.
  • Receive, store, and organize food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products.
  • Assist with dishwashing and delivering cutlery to catering vessels.
  • Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and buffets or food stations.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing of hospitality storage areas.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of kitchen and service areas; sweep and scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water, sort and remove trash placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Assist with food deliveries to all vessels. Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
  • Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Manger on duty.

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Previous receiving experience preferred.
  • Smart Serve Certificate required.
  • Food Handler's Certificate considered an asset.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
  • Ability to deal with shifting priorities.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
  • Must possess a service orientation actively looking for ways to help others.
  • Will work for extended periods of time without sitting.
  • Required to lift furniture and other heavy items up and down stairs.
  • Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 60 lbs (27 kgs).
  • If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. nonslip shoes, gloves, weather appropriate dress attire, sun protection).
