Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Mining, this position will help define, shape and communicate Mining's long-term strategy.

Responsible for working with the senior Mining leaders to formulate a vision, strategy and governance that creates corporate and business value.

This role will support the team's effort in ensuring the business is mobilizing, executing and delivering against key strategic priorities, including the execution of the Mining Leadership PVDs and the Dominate Mining Bold Goal.

Job Description:

Coordinate development and execution of the strategic vision for mining while respecting operational realities.
Coach and guide project sponsors, owners and project/program managers to realize strategic objectives.
Supporting Mining leadership on governance to ensure alignment, track progress, and provide visibility and proactive management of potential risks related to strategy and special projects.
Establish and own the framework for execution of Mining strategic elements which includes each project having an owner, a scope and an implementation plan.
Establish benefits realization process to ensure strategic and operational outcomes are achieved.
Document and communicate the Mining strategy to stakeholders in Finning and Caterpillar.
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Direct work experience in project management capacity
Proven experience in people management
Experience in strategic planning
