To co-ordinate the receiving and shipping activities and assist the warehouse Supervisors in overseeing dock operations.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform data entry of all incoming shipment by preparing hard copies for the Warehouse Receiver.
  • Reviewing reconciliation of all receipts and noting exceptions. i.e., over/under
  • Working in conjunction with the customer service team for any receipt inquiries.
  • Review receipts and add required notelines prior to closing receipts.
  • Close of Receipt/ ASN's (Advance Ship Notices).
  • Print manifests and prepare documentation for transportation service providers and ensure their accuracy.
  • Assign doors to drivers while picking up or delivering inbound freight.
  • Contact shipper / receiver when carriers are ready to be loaded / unloaded.
  • Maintaining and providing appointments with carriers, both outbound and inbound receipts.
  • Enter receiving data into electronic KPI logs on a daily basis.
  • Print and route customer orders based on assigned priorities.
  • Enter and reconcile CHEP pallet transactions.
  • Ordering warehouse supplies.
  • Organize and coordinate the preparation of documents and records.
  • Escalating as needed to ensure work is completed within set objectives.
  • Establish and maintain pricing and other confidential files.
  • Other duties as required.

SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:


  • Good verbal written communication.
  • Ability to write clearly.
  • Ability to prioritize work requirements within welldefined standard practices and procedures.
  • Must be familiar with warehouse operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and a high degree of integrity
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel and Windows

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum education required:


  • Secondary school diploma
Minimum experience required:


  • 1 year warehouse experience
