Description

This is a full-time administration role, reporting to the Senior Dean, Centre for Global Engagement, working 35 hours per week.


This role is responsible for providing quality assurance leadership, direction and coordination for all international programs at four study locations of Lambton College.

The position will ensure that all international programs regardless of location or delivery model, meet Ontario Public Colleges Standards of Practice for International Education, Lambton College specific quality assurance standards, policies and targets as well as College Quality Assurance Process Audit (CQAAP) requirements.


Specific Accountabilities:


  • Quality Assurance
  • Designs and develops surveys and focus groups on supporting quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzes data to determine if academic programs, course standards and procedures are being met. Prepares reports on performance data for PCPP's (Public College
  • Private Partnerships).
  • Oversees the delivery of KPIs, Student Satisfaction surveys, Student Perceptions of Learning and Graduation surveys to collect required data as required by CQAAP.
  • Drives continuous improvement through empowerment and data/Key Performance Indicators management. (Student forums, Comprehensive Program Reviews and International Student Satisfaction Survey)
  • Identifies gaps in data availability and defines/implements solutions to close the gaps.
  • Analyzes collected data, investigates where students are unsatisfied, and proposes solutions.
  • Monitors and assesses the initial delivery of all newly launched programs.
  • Audits to ensure CQAAP standards are being followed in all areas of program delivery and college policies are adhered to within the department and partner locations.
  • Trains and coaches SMEs' and Quality Assurance Contractors on Lambton College Quality Assurance policies and processes.
  • Manages and mitigates risks by monitoring the academic delivery, learning experiences, student service offerings, facility requirements and overall student perception of the Lambton College experience.
Development- Recruits, selects and recommends Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for hire.

  • Coaches and advises SMEs to enhance new or current academic programs. Consults with School Deans and assigns projects as required.
  • Conducts research for academic programs and collaborates with the Program and Pathway Development coordinator in developing new programs for international students.
  • Supports the recruitment, onboarding, training and coaching of parttime faculty in department programs as required by the Dean.
  • Investigates and collaborates with the International Marketing and Recruiting manager to create and develop innovative programs to attract new international students.
  • Analyzes and implements changes to ensure that established programs meet current industry standards.
  • Assesses and secures thirdparty accreditation for applicable international student programs (i.e. FITT, CIFFA, Food Processing Skills Canada) and where the accreditation will bring added value to the program.
  • Negotiates contracts with thirdparty Accreditors, software providers and textbook distributors to ensure that international students receive the best value for their educational needs.
  • Examines and adapts curriculum to ensure that it meets maximum potential for andragogy delivery and costeffectiveness.
Project Management- Helps lead, train and support the administration functions of Lambton Ottawa, specifically the Centre for Graduate Studies.

  • Creates project plan, monitors implementation, and coordinates with all stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Develops and consults on enhancing special curriculum implementations.
  • Works with Dean, Department and college stakeholders to improve international students' experience at Lambton and within the community.
  • Keeps a high level of confidentiality on special projects developed by SLT or the International Department.

Qualifications:


  • 4 year degree in education or related field
  • Master's preferred or in the process of completion
  • 7 years of experience in quality assurance, curriculum development and/or academic leadership
  • Highly developed skills in the areas of institutional analysis, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches to analyzing evidence
  • Teaching experience is an asset
