The Role


We are searching for a highly motivated Safety Coordinator to lead in safety on a major 12-month project (with potential for extension).

You will promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent communication and a proactive approach.


Responsibilities

  • Implement and promote the company's safety program and culture onsite.
  • Deliver safety orientations to all project personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate safe work plans and procedures.
  • Investigate safety incidents and document findings.
  • Maintain safety documentation and communication boards.
  • Facilitate safety committee meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between workers, management, clients, and visitors regarding safety.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Safety Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and Working at Heights certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for safety and a commitment to continuous learning.
