Child / Adult Psychologist
Firefly Counselling is looking for a contract, Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist to work primarily with children, teens, whole family units and some individual adult work.
A Registered Play Therapy supervisor works onsite and can provide supervision towards Play Therapy Certification.
An experienced clinical supervisor is onsite and can provide clinical supervision if the successful applicant is a provisional psychologist.
We are seeking a Registered/Provisional Psychologist with training in, and/or interest in fully certifying in:
- Play Therapy (Canadian or American Play Therapy Association)
- Theraplay
- EMDR
- CBT
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (Individual/Couples/Family)
- Other researched based proven efficacy therapies

Clinician Requirements:
- In good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists as a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist
- Two or more years of direct experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Must carry $5 million in professional liability insurance
- Three references with two from established clinicians who have observed your work
Clinician Attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to provide client focused service and care
- Ability to maintain a generalist caseload
- Demonstrated competence in maintaining up to date notes
- Professional production of requested third party payor reports in a timely manner
- Actively engaging in clinical practice continuing education
- Ability to work independently and with other clinicians as needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in standard computing skills and software (i.e. M.S. Office, Jane)
- Takes ownership of their actions and decisions
- Willingness to work a range of hours in order to build a caseload
There may be a therapy dog onsite, and some clients bring certified assistance dogs.
Only Registered Psychologists or Registered Provisional Psychologists with CAP approved credentials will be considered.

Salary:
$72.00-$130.00 per hour
