Position Information
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Maintenance functions with the plant. This is a key position requiring a strong overview of electrical, mechanical and tooling activities within a manufacturing environment.

The flexible working approach and strong interpersonal skills allows clear and effective communication between all internal and external parties where required are essential.

The incumbent must have the ability to multi-task and operate efficiently under pressure during a variety of fast changing situations with the ability to lead by example is always required, helping to strengthen both the individuals and team performance.

The Supervisor also ensures all Maintenance T/Ms are working safely and in compliance with Gov. Regulations, ACI Procedures and Policies


Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure all direct reports and relevant functions operate within ACI policies, procedures and legislative requirements including all required Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements whilst promoting good working practices in line with industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain effective communication methods across the Maintenance Department and throughout ACI to improve both internal and cross departmental working and the building of good relationships with all relevant external parties
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the completion of the departments planned maintenance, kaizen and third party activities to the required standards, updating and maintaining the computerized maintenance management system ensuring reliable recording and data tracking for all production, auxiliary and facilities equipment including the building fabric and utilities
  • Support both direct and indirect reports with troubleshooting and Kaizen activities where required during normal working hours
  • Adopt a flexible working approach responding to out of hours emergencies and working additional hours where required to support direct reports and other departments to ensure both reactive and planned tasks are completed within the required timeframes
  • Shift Afternoons
  • Monitor and support the MRO Buyer/Stores Supervisor to realize an efficient service, enhance supplier negotiations, promote cost reduction, ensure CMMS and Oracle inventory updates and any other relevant requirements
  • Enforce and maintain accurate record keeping of all relevant personnel, work audits, inventory, financial, equipment and thirdparty documentation
  • Support direct reports and all other departments where required through training of other team members on new, updated, or modified equipment, systems and legislative change
  • Ensure compliance with the departments KPI's financial and business plans and support all other departments to achieve the overall ACI targets and goals
  • Present information and data when required to other teams within and external to ACI, customer representatives, legislative bodies and all other relevant parties
  • Accept all required training and travel requirements to maintain the anticipated standards the role demands and to ensure progression within the role
  • Embrace all other duties and requests (including assisting/completing repairs) as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager to further enhance the Maintenance Departments function and ACI's operation as a whole
  • Weekly Audits for Shop Equipment, Lifting Devices, Aerial Lifts, etc.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Minimum of five years experienced in a mechanical, electrical or tooling role within a manufacturing environment following a time served apprenticeship
  • A sound overall knowledge of engineeringbased disciplines and practices with an innovative approach
  • The ability to multitask and work efficiently within a pressurized situation
  • Previous experience leading a multidisciplined team
