Position Overview:
As the Yard Manager, you will play a critical role in the efficient and effective functioning of the

metal recycling yard. Your responsibilities will include overseeing yard operations, managing a

team, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating logistics, and maintaining a high level of

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise all aspects of yard operations, including receiving, processing,

and shipping of metal materials.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of

safety among team members and visitors to the yard.

Optimize workflow and allocate resources effectively to achieve operational efficiency

and meet production targets.

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of yard employees, fostering a positive work

environment and promoting individual and team growth.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement operational strategies,

procedures, and goals.

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure

inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule and manage the timely delivery and

shipment of materials.

Maintain and update equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order

and arranging for repairs or replacements as necessary.

Implement quality control measures to ensure the materials meet the required standards

and customer specifications.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally,

providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong relationships.

Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to identify

opportunities for business growth and process improvements.

Prepare regular reports on yard performance, production metrics, inventory levels, and

other key performance indicators.

Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage budgets, control costs,

and optimize profitability.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the metal recycling

industry is highly preferred.

Indepth knowledge of metal recycling processes, equipment, and machinery.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a

diverse team.

Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a

focus on continuous improvement.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to metal recycling operations.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and

Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact

effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet

deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Salary and Benefits:
Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with

qualifications and experience. They also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including
