Position Overview:
As the Yard Manager, you will play a critical role in the efficient and effective functioning of the
metal recycling yard. Your responsibilities will include overseeing yard operations, managing a
team, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating logistics, and maintaining a high level of
customer satisfaction. If you have a strong background in metal recycling operations,

Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of yard operations, including receiving, processing,
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of
- Optimize workflow and allocate resources effectively to achieve operational efficiency
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of yard employees, fostering a positive work
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement operational strategies,
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule and manage the timely delivery and
- Maintain and update equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the materials meet the required standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally,
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to identify
- Prepare regular reports on yard performance, production metrics, inventory levels, and
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage budgets, control costs,
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the metal recycling
- Indepth knowledge of metal recycling processes, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a
- Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to metal recycling operations.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact
- Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Salary and Benefits:
Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with
qualifications and experience. They also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including
