Bagotville, Quebec


Employment:
This position is approximately a 3 year term with potential for extension and/ or permanent employment.


Your New Role


The M&E Coordinator, under the direction of the Project Manager, will primarily be responsible for supporting with planning and coordinating for all on-site mechanical and electrical activities on each of their assigned projects.

This includes managing subcontracts, interfacing with field staff and project stakeholders to plan, execute, and problem solve.


Your Duties
While the M&E Coordinator is responsible for a multitude of duties, the main functions include:

  • Ensures compliance with all Sullivan policies and procedures
  • Support the project team with planning and coordination for all onsite mechanical and electrical activities while keeping compliance of specifications, requirements and codes top of mind
  • Put your proactive problemsolving skills to work to coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference issues
  • Utilize your passion for organization through the maintenance of schedule requirements and priorities, mechanical and electrical RFI's, shop drawings, contracts and project completion documents
  • Organize and facilitate of mechanical and electrical coordination and interference meetings
  • Compile and complete companywide project reports
  • Attends various project meetings including kickoff, monthly cost review, and project progress
  • Processes all Mechanical and Electrical deliverables including obtaining shop drawings, samples, and mockups for each assigned project and maintains control
  • Assists with change management and change order processes
  • Identifies potential risks and supports the Project Manager with risk identification and opportunities on assigned construction projects
  • Assist in the maintaining project document and performs project document control and procedures
  • Oversees inventory and tracking of ordered Mechanical and Electrical materials and equipment
  • Participates in reviews of subcontractor's submittals for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination with other subtrades
  • Monitors supplier and subtrade performance throughout the project
  • Supports the development of, maintenance and adherence to project schedules including the overall schedule and required "look ahead" schedules
  • Assists with site inspections to resolve issues and signoff on functionality
  • Assists with overall Mechanical and Electrical project closeout documentation including warranties, asbuilt drawings, operations and maintenance manuals
  • Assists with precommissioning and commissioning
  • Perform other duties as required to support the overall success and profitability of Sullivan

Safety

  • Commits to a high standard of procedural safety and regulatory compliance
  • Communicates and enforces safety standards in conjunction with the Construction Health & Safety Officer

Quality

  • Adheres to all processes and procedures in the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensures the quality of product produced reflects the QMS and The Sullivan Way

What you will need to succeed

  • A University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a combination of education and industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the ICI construction project environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams), Adobe, Microsoft Project or Primavera
  • Bilingual is an asset (French and English both in verbal and written)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level Government clearance
