Working for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences


The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences currently offers an accredited four-year professional Entry to Practice PharmD degree consisting of coursework and practice experience as well as multiple post-graduate programs.

The Faculty services approximately 650 students per year and consistently ranks among the top three institutions in Canada.

Position Summary


The Assessment, Evaluation, and Educational Technology Assistant will work as part of the Assessment and Evaluation team to support the Faculty's assessment, program evaluation and educational technology activities.


This includes, but is not limited to:
direct support for assessment exam administration (e.g. creating and administering exams, implementing exam accommodations, post exam processing support), evaluation activities (e.g. focus groups, surveys, data entry and collection, generating reports). This role will also provide direct educational technology support for the delivery of programs (e.g. basic training on essential core tools such as mentimeter, learning management systems and zoom, some seminar technology support to facilitate interactive learning, and back up for technology failure in lecture theaters).


Duties
Assessment activities

  • Supporting the delivery of Computer Based Exams for PharmD and CCPP programs including:
  • Copying/creating new exams, editing exam questions and problem-solving special requests
  • Creating exam administrations for accommodation students in all courses
  • Proctor on site exams and assist in the creation of the exam invigilator schedule for faculty exams
  • Coordinating remote exam proctoring needs for faculty exams using Smart Exam Monitor (SEM) including setting up SEM sessions and post exam recording audits
  • Troubleshooting onsite and remote exam related technology issues
  • Assisting with any post exam changes as directed by the course coordinator
  • Primary point of contact for faculty examination related needs including releasing exams, setting up exam review sessions, and post exam communications
  • Aide in the creation of assessment software tutorials and assessment procedures, uploading grades procedures)
  • Assisting with uploading of exam grades and processing of item statistics for faculty reports
  • Providing assessment and technical support for Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs)
Evaluation activities

  • Supporting the annual implementation of ongoing program evaluation activities
  • Preparing and updating surveys and initial processing of evaluation data
  • Creating ad hoc guest lecturer surveys in qualtrics
  • Assisting with the processing of survey results and focus group recordings including transcription, and coding for report creation
  • Supporting data analysis work as required to populate annual and ad hoc reports
  • Data downloading/uploading/entry as required
  • Supporting the creation of ongoing program and adhoc evaluation reports
  • Preparing student performance and post placement reports for Experiential Education
  • Assisting
