Accounting Manager
We currently, we have an opening for an
Accounting Manager in our Finance department.
Primary responsibilities of the job:
- Responsible for monthend closings, quarterly and annual financial reporting for multiple entities.
- Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts.
- Manage daytoday accounting operations.
- Manage and lead 2 staff on the accounting team to achieve efficient process continuity.
- Manage fixed asset accounting requirements for capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedure.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Analyze the financial results and communicate the results to the executives.
- Responsible for cash management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in the annual and interim audit, including coordination of external auditors' requests and completion of supporting schedules.
- Actively support process improvement initiatives.
- The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent university degree is a must.
- CPA designation is a must
- 5+ years of accounting experience;
- Experience with US GAAP an asset
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
