Description
Part time position for a Medical Assistant in a Family Practice office based in
Forest Hill, Toronto (Eglinton and Avenue Road).
- Register and schedule patients in a professional manner
- Book/confirm appointments with patients and physician offices
- Triage patients taking their vitals and doing simple tasks like urine dip
- Answer the phone, take messages, and handle patient inquiries
- Prepare and send documents to Physicians, Pharmacies, and Patients
- Followup on lab results and doctor requests
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Assist with invoicing and collecting payments
- Open and/or close the clinic
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience with PS Suite (Telus) EMR
- Experience with OHIP billing
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Respectful of patient confidentiality
Compensation:
- Competitive, based on level of experience and qualifications
- Part time job could lead to full time job depending on assistants performance
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week
Salary:
$16.00-$20.00 per hour
