  • Plan, prepare and conduct negotiations supported by a fact base
  • Consider broad commercial and noncommercial factors in negotiation
  • Define potential scenarios, negotiation roles and a negotiation strategy
  • Prepare and execute negotiation tactics and approaches including ability to adapt/flex tactics during a negotiation
  • Achieve negotiation outcomes that are winwin results

Presentation skills:


  • Present ideas effectively to individuals or groups
  • Effective in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings: oneonone, small, and large groups
  • Command attention and manage group process during the presentation
  • Change tactics midstream when something isn't working

Problem solving skills:


  • Ability to identify root causes and to solve problems for both short and long term
  • Undertake to solve a complex task by breaking it down into manageable parts in a systematic, detailed way
  • Anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them
  • Consider the organization's priorities when making decisions or analyzing the costs and benefits of various alternative solutions

Functional expertise:


  • Broad commercial and supply chain experience
  • Strong interaction with and influence of internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
  • Technical Background in the area if reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
  • Postsecondary education is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
