SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:


The telecommunications market is undergoing a transformation and Cogeco is forging ahead with our plan to enter the Canadian mobile services market.

We are looking for a Manager Planning & Acquisition Management to support our wireless team.


Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Manager, Planning & Acquisition Management is the glue behind all the go to market activities.

That incumbent keeps track of launch activities, follows up with next steps and ensures timelines are met through the creation of a dashboard.

As a solution oriented individual, the Manager, Planning & Acquisition Management brings acts as the point person keeping the team on track and when the situation requires it, knows when to escalate to get things done.


The Manager, Planning & Acquisition management is also responsible for the acquisition performance post product launch to continuously improve the performance.


  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a dashboard to facilitate tracking of all marketing activities (pricing, advertising, channel readiness) linked to market launch of wireless
  • Act as marketing representative (ex: channels, pricing, corporate coms ) for all go to market activities
  • Using 11 and team reviews (whiteboard sessions, wall walks etc ), ensure all key execution steps are present in the planning for each function necessary for the go to market plan
  • Regularly follows up on action items and deliverables with marketing peers and cross functional team
  • Ensure scope and timelines for go to market activities are respected, and bring the crossfunctional team together when issues arise to find the right solution.
  • Escalate issues regarding timelines or scope delivery to the PMO and Marketing director when needed
  • Be accountable for acquisition volume and ARPU of new acquisitions
  • Use data analytics to manage overall performance related to acquisition post commercial launch
  • Provide and implement recommendations to continuously improve acquisition performance
  • Build relationships across the Cogeco organization
  • Lead and Coach the Pricing specialist (to be hired in 2024)

REQUIREMENTS:


  • ACADEMIC TRAINING
  • Post secondary degree in Marketing, Engineering, Advertising or Finance
  • WORK EXPERIENCE 7+ years in project management
  • People management experience
  • Experience in subscription based industry communication, banking or insurance for instance is considered as an asset
  • Experience in managing operational metrics (acquisition, churn, revenue) is considered as an asset
  • People management experienceSPECIFIC SKILLS
  • A very detail oriented person
  • An analytical mindset
  • A curious mind, comfortable asking uncomfortable questions, and who is willing to go to the bottom of an issue
  • A team player, able to build consensus someone easy to collaborate with, but driven to deliver. An iron fist in a velvet glove
  • An entrepreneur if something needs to get done, figure out how to get it done
  • Ability to influence others to remain engaged and stay on track
  • An independent person able to work under mínimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask and manage large requests
  • A dependable person who says what they do & do what they say
  • Ability to figure out what is important from what can wait and prioritize accordingly
  • Familiar with the google/microsoft suite of products (excel, word, powerpoint)
  • Fluent in English, French fluency is considered as an asset. The incumbent will work with stakeholders across functional business units #LI-Hyrbid
