The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is a non-profit organization created to focus national attention on mental health issues and to work to improve the health and social outcomes of people living with mental illness.

The Mental Health Strategy for Canada, the Commission will focus on work in four key areas: substance use, suicide prevention, population-based initiatives, and engagement.
This prioritization will enable the Commission to meet its mandate and have a measurable impact on those living with mental illness and their families and caregivers.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Moderator Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and training the virtual course moderators for all virtual courses offered by the Opening Minds program.
The Moderator Coordinator ensures that the schedule is up to date, finds replacements when needed, and addresses any issues or concerns regarding the moderators.
The Moderator Coordinator will work as part of the Operations Team to ensure all deliverables have been met.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solution-focused approach are integral in tackling the many aspects of this exciting position.
The option of a remote home-based work arrangement within Ontario or Canada may be possible.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a resource and first point of contact for all virtual course moderators
- Ensures that a moderator is assigned as soon as a course is confirmed
- Prepares and tracks contracts for moderators
- Ensures all moderators are aware of their course schedules
- Onboards new moderators and provides ongoing training to existing moderators
- Addresses any concerns or issues with moderators as they arise
- Maintains and updates the moderator guide and hub quarterly
- Monitors of Skype Group Chat
- Maintains Quality Standards by providing additional support to moderators in need
- Evaluates Moderator Performance and flags any issues to Management
- Other duties as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High degree of confidence being the main point of contact for enquiries
- Highlevel proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Office and Outlook)
- Previous experience working as a course moderator
- Experience with MS Teams and Zoom
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Resultsdriven, attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and writing skills
- Ability to manage a reasonable volume of work with competing priorities within constrained time frames
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external contacts
- Personal integrity, sound judgment and an honest and ethical approach
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum diploma in an administrative program or similar field and 2 years' experience. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Highly organized, with superior problemresolution and analytical skills
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce, an asset
- Fluently bilingual (English and French essential)
