Community Service Worker

Please note this position is for a summer student and funded by the Government of Canada's Summer Job (CSJ) Program.

Terms of Employment:

• Seasonal employment fulltime for 8 weeks/35 hours per week beginning May 15, 2023 to July 10, 202
• This position is for a young adult years old)
• Location; Newmarket, ON
• Education No education required.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Community outreach and engagement

• Connect with new and existing community partners to provide informational presentations about WCYR's programs
• Create new collaborations with community agencies to enable client referrals
• Attend committee meetings to represent WCYR when applicable

Online groups and Networking events

• Assist in promotion of upcoming programs and seminars
• Assist with planning & registration of groups and seminars

Record Keeping and documentation

• Assist in recording attendance, and reporting the number of of sessions provided
• Record the number of agencies contacted and create a contact list for program communications
• Observe group facilitation to update program manuals
