The Role:
QC and Inspection Lead
Develop, document, operate and maintain QC inspection processes and equipment for the Product Team.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have minimum 8 years working directly in IQC, process QC and related support in senior roles.
  • You have working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO17025 requirements.
  • You have hands on knowledge and experience working with a large array of measurement equipment and procedures including CMM, rheometers, microscopes, tensile testers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.
  • You have the ability to quickly and accurately perform measurements and inspections and create reports.
  • You are adept at creating and training process documentation.
  • You have experience using SPC, performing GageR&R, leading and supporting 8D/CAPA activities, and working knowledge of GD&T.
  • You have experience with internal auditing.
  • You have the ability to manage tasks and work independently.
  • You have experience creating process documentation and providing training to others.
  • You have ability to lead and teach others in performing QC inspection roles.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications

  • You are a Certified Quality Technologist, or other similar quality certification.
  • You have a degree or technical diploma.

What Success looks like in this role

  • You will establish IQC inspection plans for critical components.
  • You will establish procedures and database for performing and documenting measurements and results.
  • You will establish measurement equipment and lab space requirements to support inspection plans.
  • You will perform inspections and train others to support IQC and QC inspection roles.
  • You will feed back issues found to Design, Mfg, Procurement and Quality teams.
  • You will support NCR/8D investigations.
  • You will establish full list of IQC inspection plans for product BoMs.
  • You will establish standardized ongoing inspections and data management for IQC.
  • You will support QC development for inprocess and outgoing production.
  • You will establish plans with Product Quality Leader and Director of Quality to achieve ISO compliant system and policies in QC.
