We are looking for an individual in the Joliette area who can build and develop a portfolio of small business clients in various industries.

In this position, you will create business financing opportunities for them, as well as collaborate with the BDC Advisory Services teams to offer tailored solutions to support their growth.


What you will be expected to accomplish:

  • Organize and participate in networking events and establish and maintain business relationships.
  • Obtain client leads and referrals that will facilitate new client acquisition and make cold calls to local small businesses on a daily basis.
  • Create and deploy a marketing plan aligned with your business center's strategy, which focuses on the growth of your portfolio and the retention of your existing clients.
  • Review and present high quality lending proposals.
  • Sell advisory services mandates tailored to challenges faced by small businesses.

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Skills in financial analysis and business lending.
  • An existing network of influence in the Joliette area.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, in commercial business development, or in a similar role.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, in accounting, or in business administration (or the equivalent).
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English.
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
