Umbrella I.T. Services is a growing managed service provider that has been in business for 9 years. We help our clients leverage technology to meet their unique goals. We focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships with our clients by providing them with pro-active, process-based I.T. services that they can rely on while developing their own organizations.

We are looking to hire a sales development representative that will provide sales and revenue for the business.

SDRs are responsible for identifying and nurturing potential leads, and ultimately converting them into customers by prospecting, lead nurturing, qualifying leads, setting appointments, managing pipelines, and coordinating sales.


With a recent focus on growth, our CEO was seen on CTV Morning Live, attended Forbes 30 Under 30 and aims to expand Umbrella I.T.

Services operations without compromising quality of service for our clients.

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop into a technical specialist, service desk manager or account manager.


Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads by researching and identifying potential customers in the target market.
  • Qualify leads and opportunities by assessing their fit with Umbrella IT's service offerings, budget, and timeline.
  • Schedule appointments and demos for the sales manager with qualified prospects.
  • Manage and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system to ensure accurate data and pipeline tracking.
  • Quickly build and establish client relationships
  • Set clear expectations for what the client's relationship will look like in both short and long term to set them up for success

Deliverables

  • A list of new leads and opportunities generated each week or month.
  • A list of qualified leads and opportunities that meet the MSP's criteria for a good fit.
  • A calendar of appointments and demos scheduled for the sales manager
  • Accurate and uptodate data in the CRM system to track progress and identify trends.

Expectations

  • Meet or exceed quarterly quotas for generating new leads and opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the MSP's services, market, and competition to effectively communicate value to prospects.
  • Work closely with the sales manager to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and coaching sessions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism while representing the MSP to prospects and customers.

Skills and requirements:


  • Fulltime availability
  • Excellent communication skills: An SDR must possess excellent communication skills, including active listening, clear and concise verbal and written communication, and the ability to build rapport with prospects
  • Sales acumen: An SDR must have a good understanding of the sales process and the ability to identify and prioritize prospects based on their potential to become customers.
  • Persistence and resilience: Coldcalling and outbound sales can be challenging and require persistence and resilience to handle rejections and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Technical knowledge: An SDR working in an MSP must have a basic understanding of technology and IT services to effectively communicate with prospects and customers.
  • Organizational skills: An SDR must be highly organized, able to manage their time effectively, and track and manage a large number of leads and opportunities.
  • Problemsolving skills: An SDR must be able to identify and solve problems quickly and creatively to ensure that the sales process is not interrupted.
  • Team player: An SDR must be able to work well with others and collaborate with the team to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to learn and adapt: The technology industry is constantly evolving, and an SDR must be willing and able to learn and adapt to new products, services and sales techniques.
