Description

Responsibilities

  • Examine all documents received as a tender package and understand the project/program and its requirements
  • Make quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar software
  • Be familiar with various materials and finishes and their costs and availability
  • Have a construction and industrial background and experience in estimating projects of different sizes and scopes
  • Prepare RFQs (request for quotations) and obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
  • Perform risk analysis and identify potential issues or delays
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
  • Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as estimator or similar position in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles
  • Indepth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
  • Proficient in relevant software (Bluebeam, Excel etc.)
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
  • Thoroughness and reliability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline
