Company Overview:

Our client is an engineering company with operations spanning across Canada and the USA.

As they continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join their team and manage the entire accounting process using QuickBooks.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
