Trim Technician Paris, ON | Full-time


The Trim Technician, under the direction of the Lead Trim Technician and Alternate Master Grower, is primarily responsible for the day-to-day processing of harvested cannabis plants.

This position will properly trim harvested cannabis plants while adhering to strict organization policies.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for handtrimming harvested cannabis plants
  • Operation of trimming equipment as required safely within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Report deviations from established procedures to Lead Trim Technician and/or Alternate Master Grower
  • Clean and sanitize work area as required
  • Assist other departments if required
  • Lift material up to 25 kilograms
  • Comply with all relevant legislation surrounding cannabis production in accordance with Health Canada and the Cannabis Regulations
  • Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

ROLE REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES

Experience / Education

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Cannabis or greenhouse industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Trimming experience would be considered an asset

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills with ability to comprehend detailed instructions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Knowledge of cannabis plant composition is an asset
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Must have own transportation as we are not on a public transportation route

Physical Demands

  • Using manual dexterity repeatedly
  • Extended periods of stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, and standing
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 25 kilograms.
  • Working while wearing PPE equipment (Company supplied uniform, lab coat, respirator, face mask, hair net, hard hat, gloves, safety shoes)
  • Good balance and handeye coordination
  • Working above and below shoulder height

Working Conditions

  • Constant exposure to the smell of cannabis
  • Working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
  • Use of required personal protective equipment
  • Working in tights paces

Note:
The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete reference checks and a criminal background check.
